Birthday Bible Verse 5:8 (Purity Pursuit) Victoria Ryan, August 19, 2021September 5, 2021 Featured photo: Original Ivory soap packaging; Our Heritage (ivory.com) These verses are for everyone but can be especially meaningful for people born on May 8th. The image of Ivory Soap came to my mind after I read one of them so I included it. Ivory Soap commercials always included the phrase “ninety-ninety and forty-forty one-hundred percent pure.” I figure that’s the best a human soul can get, too, since no one is perfectly pure except God. I hope you’ll take some time for a short meditation on these three verses. Read them and note the word, emotion, memory or other reaction that stands out to you. Read them again, noting what stands out. Do it a third time. Tell God about your feelings. Peacefully contemplate. Then gather your thoughts into a prayer. Keep something in your heart until your next meditation. But God has shown us how much he loves us–it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us! Rom 5:8 I have received your message, and I am ready to do what you ask. 1 Kings 5:8 Happy are the pure in heart; they will see God! Mt 5:8 Thanks for praying with us. See you next Tuesday, I hope.
